
ABOUT GREGORY WILLIAMS




Award-winning photographer living in Washington, DC. I have had the privilege of showcasing my work at prestigious venues like the Smithsonian Institution and contributed to esteemed publications such as the Explorers Club Log, and several digital magazines.
Certified as a field technician in historical/battlefield archaeology and maritime archaeology. Trained in mountaineering and Scuba diving - with certifications in outdoor guiding, wilderness first responder, alpine climbing, scientific diving and blackwater archaeology. I hold a BA with honors in History (Phi Alpha Theta), a master's degree, and studied documentary photography at Cornell University. I currently sit on the Board of Directors for the Washington, DC Chapter of The Explorers Club and work for the Smithsonian Institution.
Veteran of the United States military (retired)
Available to volunteer as an expedition photographer, storyteller, field technician (archaeology/paleobiology), or as an independent photojournalist.
